This year, Master Gardeners of Greene County and Friends of the Garden and will host another exciting event for our Young Sprouts- The Butterfly Festival!

There will be T-shirt tie dying, vendors with things to give away and sell, many booths with interesting information, crafts, the caterpillar petting zoo, visits to the Dr. Bill Roston Butterfly House, the Butterfly Cafe, and so much more.

Fishin’ Magicians will stroll and perform two magic shows. There will be a caterpillar/butterfly costume contest for children ages ten and under. There will have a drawing for three beautiful original designed butterfly stepping stones made and created by Randy Bakerink.

This fun for the whole family also includes a variety of vendors selling wares to inspire your gardening lifestyle and to celebrate our native butterflies. Crafts will be under tenting on the front lawn this year thereby allowing vendors the shaded tree area.
