You’ve lovingly planted, fertilized, watered and weeded. Now sit back and learn some tips and ideas from Master Gardener Alice Greenfield on how to make the most of your garden harvest. Alice will take you on a delicious journey from harvesting to eating fresh from the summer garden and then to preserving, canning, freezing and drying the bountiful harvest from the fall garden. Learn how to select and use equipment for preserving along with delicious recipes and tips from a seasoned gardener and cook.
Refreshments will be served and we will draw names to take home some special treats!
Our class will be held inside the beautiful Springfield Greene County Botanical Center, 2400 South Scenic in Springfield, on Monday, October 20th, 2014 at 6pm and is presented to you by Master Gardeners of Greene County.
Alice Greenfield has been a Master Gardener since 2000 and currently serves as Gardening Chair of the Master Gardener Demonstration Garden Vegetable Garden where she and her team oversee the planting, nurturing and harvesting of a variety of vegetables.
