Master Gardeners of Greene County invite you to stop by the Botanical Center at Nathanael Greene Park, 2400 South Scenic on Thursday August 7, 2014 from 6-7pm (weather permitting) for “Learn to Grow in the Garden: Loving Lavender”. Our casual hands-on class will introduce you to the beauty of this herb as it fills the garden with sensory delight from its soothing and refreshing fragrance to its multitude of uses. We will see it growing in the herb garden, talk about varieties, demonstrate oil, bottle and wand making, and answer all your lavender questions. This class will be taught by Master Gardeners in our beautiful gardens. The general public is invited and we need many Master Gardeners to attend to help and learn! Our Lavender class will count towards Master Gardeners Continuing Education! Come out and meet us as we learn to love lavender! If you have questions about the class call: 417 881-8909 x311
