SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Master Gardeners of Greene County will present a public program on peonies from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, May 7 at The Botanical Center, 2400. S. Scenic, Springfield.
The course costs $5 per person and registration can be done at The Botanical Center Gift Shop.
The class, entitled “Color Me Happy Peony,” will include a garden tour if weather permits.
“Peonies have seduced gardeners for more than 20 centuries. Our class will provide the history of peonies, look at the different types, and provide information on how to plant and care for these garden gems,” said Missy Sanford, president of the Master Gardeners of Greene County.
