The Master Gardeners of Greene County in association with Grow Well Missouri welcome you to the first annual fresh produce drive to be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Grow Well Missouri and area friends and partners, Crosslines and the Greater Springfield Farmers Market, are sponsoring the event to support local residents and food pantry clients. All farmers and home gardeners are asked to donate extra produce they have grown during this season of bounty. Donated produce will be loaded on the Crosslines truck at the south end of the farmers’s market in the Battlefield Mall parking lot located at 2825 S. Glenstone Ave., Springfield, MO, and taken directly to the Crosslines food pantry. People wishing to purchase from market vendors to donate are encouraged to do so!
Come out, have a great time, and visit the Grow Well Missouri tent! Let our Master Gardeners and knowledgeable volunteers explain the Grow Well program and how it is helping local communities. Plan on having a great time and seeing some beautiful produce the vendors have to offer!
