Edible gardens
A garden does not need to be just a vegetable garden or a flower garden. Incorporating interesting looking vegetables in your flower garden or the addition of flowers in your vegetable garden will bring color and texture to your gardens. The addition of trellises will add height and allow for climbers like squash, melon or indeterminate tomatoes. A slow to bolt lettuce will be an attractive edging plant. Plant hot peppers for bright color. Try different varieties of basil to colored chard.
